Hull Residents Head to Annual Town Meeting: 44 Articles, $56M Budget, and Town Hall Funding on the Line

HULL, MA – Hull High School will serve as the center of local governance tomorrow night, Monday, May 4, at 7:00 PM, as residents gather for the 2026 Annual Town Meeting. With 44 articles on the warrant, voters face critical decisions regarding the town’s fiscal future, infrastructure projects, and administrative structure.

The centerpiece of the evening is Article 8, a proposed $56.6 million budget for Fiscal Year 2027. This represents a 3.43% increase over the previous year. Key allocations include:

• Public Safety: Funding for two additional full-time firefighters and a $156,000 investment in police vehicle replacements.
• Infrastructure & Environment: Dedicated funds for seawall maintenance ($38k) and the continued health of Straits Pond ($30k).
• Digital Modernization: $171k for town-wide tech upgrades, including a $20,000 line item for a complete redesign of the town’s official website.
