Daytime Road Closure Planned for Jordan Road in Plymouth on May 20

Plymouth MASS-announced that MassDOT’s contractor will fully close a section of Jordan Road near Route 3 during daytime hours on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

The temporary closure will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. as crews complete a bridge deck pour connected to the ongoing Route 3 improvement project.

Eastbound Detour

Drivers traveling eastbound on Jordan Road will be detoured as follows:

  • Right onto Long Pond Road
  • Continue onto MA-3 South
  • Take Exit 12 toward Plimoth Patuxet Highway
  • Take the first exit toward Chiltonville/Plymouth Beach
  • Left onto Sandwich Road
  • Right back onto Jordan Road

Westbound Detour

Drivers traveling westbound on Jordan Road will be detoured:

  • Left onto Sandwich Road

Officials advise motorists to expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible during the closure window.
