MARSHFIELD, Mass. — Police in Marshfield say they are taking extra precautions after a South Shore man was arrested in a disturbing case involving a hidden recording device inside a public restroom.

The increased attention follows an arrest by the , where a 63-year-old Marshfield resident is accused of secretly recording people inside a restroom at the The incident took place inside a public restroom at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library in Cohasset.

According to investigators, library staff discovered the device and immediately contacted police. Authorities say it contained recordings of individuals without their knowledge or consent. The suspect is facing charges including illegal wiretapping and recording a person in a state of nudity.
