Traffic Advisory: Marshfield St. Patrick’s 5K Road Race Scheduled for March 14

Marshfield MA-Residents and motorists in should plan ahead this Saturday as the annual takes place in town.

The race, organized by the , marks its 16th year and will bring runners and spectators together to support local education programs.

Road Closures and Traffic Delays

Drivers should expect traffic delays between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM in several areas connected to the race route, including:

• Plymouth Avenue
• Ocean Street
• The Esplanade area

The entire Esplanade area will be closed to vehicular traffic during the race.

Parking Ban

A parking ban on the Esplanade will begin at 6:00 AM Saturday morning to allow room for race setup and safety operations.

Event Parking

Event parking will be available at for participants and spectators attending the event.

Public Safety Support

Officials say members of the Police Department, Fire Department, Department of Public Works (DPW), and Marshfield Emergency Management will be on site throughout the event to help with traffic control and public safety.

Motorists traveling through the area are encouraged to seek alternate routes and allow extra time for travel during the race.
