Just before 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, East Bridgewater police and fire crews responded to a serious motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Plymouth Street and Bridge Street following multiple 911 calls reporting a dangerous collision.

Emergency responders found two vehicles involved, each with a single occupant. An 86-year-old man from East Bridgewater was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

The driver of the second vehicle, also on scene, refused medical treatment.
